Your Road to Carnegie Hall
The New York Liszt International Piano Competition 2023 Final and Festival takes place at Carnegie Hall in New York October 6, 2023.
The competition and festival offers a unique opportunity for pianists to compete in one category by submitting a pre-recorded video playing Franz Liszt repertoire. The competition offers a chance to 4 exceptional pianists to advance to the final round and compete at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and at Stern Auditorium Perelman Stage with Orchestra of St. Luke's.
Celebrating Liszt and his legacy in New York City is a privilege for us all. As a Hungarian and a true Liszt admirer, I am excited to bring his spirit to Carnegie Hall with the winner's concert this coming October.
It is my great honor to serve on the distinguished jury for the upcoming 2021 New York Franz Liszt International Piano Competition. All musicians owe Liszt a debt of gratitude for his groundbreaking advancement of artists in society. He called musicians "bearers of beauty" and I look forward to hearing your beautiful performances soon!
